Chicken Manchurian is an Indo-Chinese starter recipe that bears resemblance to North eastern Chinese cuisine loved by people of all ages.

The deep fried chicken cubes tossed in a tangy sauce is completely tantalizing.

There are two different variants of Manchurian dry and gravy. Both the variants use almost the same ingredients. The way of preparing it slightly differs. The dry variant is called fritters served as starters.

Here I shall be sharing the fitters recipe with you all. Do enjoy making this chicken Manchurian in your kitchen.

We all have started liking Chinese cuisine at some point of time in our lives. Especially while watching cricket and movies. Have a fun filled cricket/movie time with your loved ones at home.

Ingredients


For Marination

  • 500 gm Boneless Chicken Cubes

  • 3 tbsp Cornstarch

  • 1 tbsp All purpose flour

  • 1 Egg

  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste

  • 1 tsp Chili Powder

  • 2 tsp Soya Sauce

For Sauce

  • 1 tsp Chopped Garlic

  • 1 tsp Chopped Ginger

  • 3 tbsp spring onions

  • 1 tbsp Chili Sauce

  • 1 tbsp Soya sauce

  • 1 tbsp tomato Ketchup

  • 1 tsp Pepper Powder

  • 1 tbsp Cornflour Powder

  • ½ Cup Water

  • Salt to taste

  • 2 tsp oil

  • Green Methi leaves and Beetroot flakes to garnish


Method

Marination

  1. Take a bowl and add the chicken cubes, cornflour, all purpose flour, egg, ginger garlic paste, chili powder, soya sauce and salt mix well and keep aside for 30 minutes.

Deep Frying

  1. Take a pan and add oil, preheat the oil on medium flame.

  2. Once the oil is heated add the marinated chicken cubes and fry until golden yellow, remove and place it in a strainer to remove excess oil.

Sauce

  1. Take a saucepan and add oil, preheat the oil in medium flame and then add chopped ginger and garlic, and spring onions saute it until tender.

  2. Then, add soya sauce, chili sauce, tomato ketchup, pepper powder and saute it.

  3. Make a syrup of water and cornflour mix and simultaneously add into the pan. And bring it to boil for 2-3 minutes.

  4. Once you find the syrup to be slightly thick, then add the fried chicken cubes. Now let the sauce and the chicken infuse well.

  5. Keep stirring until the sauce is dried up. And there off it's ready to be served hot-hot.

  6. Garnish it with Methi leaves and Beetroot flakes.
