CHICKEN SIZZLERS WITH VEGGIES

Chicken sizzler with veggies is a flavorsome recipe inspired by an American version of Japanese Teppanyaki (Fire Bowl).

This recipe brings plenty of items arranged in a single bowl/platter. It has Shallow fried chicken, some toothsome veggies, brown sauce, fries and rice(optional). For a Foodie's this is going to be a spectacular experience.

Additionally they are also packed with flavor and good nutritional values. Making them a well balanced meal.

During lock down dining out has become rare so i just grabbed chicken and some veggies to bring chicken sizzlers into my table.

Hope you do enjoy making this spectacular recipe in your comfort zone.


Ingredients

  • 2 Chicken breast

  • 1 ½ tsp Garlic Chopped

  • 1 tsp Black pepper

  • 1 tsp Red Chili Flakes

  • 1 tsp Oregano

  • 1 tbsp Lime juice

  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce

  • Salt

  • 3 cups Veggies diced (Jugni/Zucchini, whole Baby Corn, Carrot, Capsicum, Cabbage, Mushroom, Broccoli blanched) etc

  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil

  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil

  • 2 ½ tbsp Butter

  • 2 tbsp All purpose flour

  • 2 tbsp Schezwan sauce

  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce

  • ½ cup water & 1 tbsp butter


Method

To Marinate

  1. Take a medium sized bowl add the chicken breast , garlic, Black Pepper, Red chili flakes, oregano and lime juice. Mix well and Keep aside for 30 minutes.

Shallow Fry

  1. Now take a sauce pan and place it in a medium flame add olive oil, as you see the bubbles in the oil add the marinated chicken and shallow fry them for 8-10 minutes on each side.

  2. Once the chicken becomes tender remove it from the pan.

  3. Add oil into the same pan, add veggies one by one into the pan and toss them for 5-8 minutes. Then place them in a bowl.

  4. Now Add some butter into the same pan, add flour and stir for a minute then add Schezwan sauce, Soy sauce and water stir until the sauce thickens.

  5. Be ready with French Fries and White Rice/Herb Rice.

  6. Meanwhile, take a small bowl, add water and butter and mix well and keep aside.

  7. To serve in the heavy metal platter, heat the platter for 5-10 minutes and turn off the stove. Now immediately place the veggies, rice, fries and the chicken breasts and spill the brown sauce on the chicken and spill the mixture of butter and water over the sides of the plate. This will lead to the sizzler sound.

Arranging the different elements in the platter is skill. Do try your best.


Note: You will get the sizzler sound only when you arrange everything in a time frame when the heavy metal platter is still hot.
